Every woman knows that the key to looking gorgeous is to start with great skin. Now, some people are lucky enough to be blessed with beautiful, clear skin (I have one friend in particular whose skin I covet) but for the rest of us, it takes a bit of work. Luckily, there are plenty of cheap products out there that can help us achieve great skin.
Right now, I have no less than three things of face wash in my shower. I know, it's kind of ridiculous. But after my favorite product was discontinued (thanks a lot, Bijore. I blame any skin imperfection on YOU) I sort of went on a spree trying to find the PERFECT face wash. And anyway, it's nice to have a wash AND a scrub, for days when your face is feeling extra scaly or something. So at the moment, I'm feelin' these products:
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Foaming Scrub
This stuff has a really refreshing pink grapefruit scent which manages to wake you up slightly as it scrubs all the gunk outcha face. It's also cheap at just about $6. I don't recommend this stuff (or any scrub) for daily use as it can dry out your skin. That's why I also have this:
Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Face Wash
This is the product I use most frequently. It has a delightful little tingle that assures me that it's working, and leaves my skin nice and soft. I'm not going to say that it cures or prevents every breakout; I don't think any product can really do that all the time. But it does make my face nice for every day, and really does seem to cut back on the amount of random zitty grossness that, even though I'm crowding 30, STILL manages to plague me. This stuff retails for just under $7.
Until recently, I thought that every girl used some sort of moisturizer. When my dear friend Jessica told me that she never moisturized, I thought I'd die of shock. When I picked myself up off the floor, I went right to Target and bought her a trial size of my favorite brand;
Dove Deep Moisture Day Lotion.
This stuff is fairly amazing. It's really thick and creamy, has a nice clean smell, and keeps your face nice and soft even during the dry ass winter. Did I mention that it goes for just under $6? Also, a bottle of this stuff usually lasts me at least three months. Score!
So there ya go. For just about $18, three skincare products that will give you that great skin witout the need for taking out a personal loan.
